Yesterday, one of my users reported that my blog was not allowing him to login. Upon closer inspection, I found that my site had been hacked and my users database was hosed. It looks as tho all the hacker was able to do was corrupt my database and nothing was stolen. I spent some time yesterday and today browsing through my site backups but none of them contain copies of my databases. 🙁 I have found a way to backup my databases as of this morning but that doesn’t do me any good for restoring the lost users. All of my posts, comments, gallery entries and logs are fully intact. I lost about half of my users database. As a result, anyone who can’t login will need to re-register. I am sorry for the inconvenience. If it happens again, at least I’ll have a backup to work with.
